Woodfire began as a mobile oven ran by husband and wife team Joe & Anne D'Astice in Rockford, IL.  From the beginning, the focus has been on high quality ingredients, excellent pizza, and outstanding customer service.  Once the Rockford area fell in love with Woodfire, the D'astice's opened up their first brick and mortar location at 408 E State Street in the heart of downtown.  

In 2019, Woodfire expanded to West Dundee, IL.  This location still focuses on all the things that make Woodfire unique.  Everything made in house, sending out excellent dishes, and showing everyone what Italian cooking can really be.  Woodfire Dundee has been able to expand on the initial menu from Rockford, now offering beloved dishes such as the Garlic Rose pizza and the very popular Hand-Pulled Mozzarella Sticks.  

In 2022, Woodfire acquired the Carlyle Brewing Co. out of Rockford, IL.  Adding this facet to the Woodfire family has truly evolved the whole group of restaurants, and allowed the same long standing tentpoles of our organization to expand to brewing as well.   Woodfire is proud to have Carlyle on tap at both our locations.
